Reading/Education list

AntiFragile

Nassim Taleb

A wonderful book by a true wonderful thinker. Chalk full of useful heuristics, mental maps, and frameworks on how the world works. Anything else I say will do an injustice to the actual material in the book. Worth every penny.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintence

Robert Pirsig

A not so straightforward novel about a mans journey to figure out what ‘quality’ is.

Awareness

Anthony De Mello

De Mello takes apart what you think is real and replaces it with what is actually real. I remember this being very influential with my every day thoughts, habits, and the way I looked at the world. Sit with this one an don’t rush through it.

The Tao of Pooh

Benjamin Hoff

If you need a reminder about what we are on this planet for, this is for you. Filled to the brim with actionable and soft advice on how to be truly happy in your life. A simple read for a simple message.

How We Learn to Move

Rob Gray

A stalwart of a coaching arsenal. Rob Gray makes you rethink everything youve been taught about skill acquisition. If you wish to actually teach/coach athletes in a manner that changes how they learn skills and learn how to learn you must keep this one handy.

Force

Dan Cleather

Dan lays out the most pertinent and useful concepts of training through a physics lens. Extremely useful and easy to read. This is one of the most useful books I’ve ever read.
